The magic of musical fountains at the Grand Rex in Paris!
- 14.02.2024
25 years of collaboration with the Grand Rex
For 25 years, the Grand Rex in Paris has been shining brightly in the run-up to the festive season, thanks to a magical collaboration between Aquatique Show's musical fountains and the legendary cinema directed by Alexandre Hellmann. Since 1990, this artistic union initiated by Jean Hellmann, Alexandre Hellmann's father, has given birth to one of the most emblematic shows of the winter season: the Féerie des Eaux accompanied by our musical fountains.
La Féérie des eaux and its musical fountains
Each year, with a capacity of 2800 seats, the Grand Rex is transformed into a gigantic enchanted theater, transporting young and old into a magical world where water dances to the rhythm of captivating melodies. Aquatique Show deploys all its know-how to create water choreographies that ignite the senses and amaze spectators. Musical fountains come alive with music and lighting effects, creating a veritable water ballet. Many other water effects, such as fog or jumping jets, accompany the musical fountains.
Musical fountains: a real challenge
Aquatique Show faced a real technical and artistic challenge. Despite the narrow stage, the company succeeded in creating installations that are not usually found indoors. In particular, Aquatique Show has demonstrated meticulous expertise and know-how in developing moving jets for a more dynamic, modern look. Each year, surprises, new musical fountains and breathtaking visual effects delight spectators of all ages. Innovations continue year after year to make the show ever more magical and unforgettable, becoming the perfect prelude to the main event: a film premiere at the Grand Rex. The 2023 edition opened with the Walt Disney Studios film "Wish", supported by special effects, this moment was intense and rich in emotions for the spectators.
A unique moment and a long-standing tradition
Over the years, the musical fountains of the Féerie des Eaux have become an enduring tradition in the hearts of Parisians and visitors alike, an enchanted interlude in the midst of the holiday frenzy. Symbolizing the spirit of Christmas and the power of cinema to bring people together, this show is a moment of sharing and wonder. The notoriety of this event goes far beyond the borders of Paris, attracting visitors from all over the world. Recognized as a not-to-be-missed annual event, our musical fountains mark the start of the festivities in this legendary venue. The strength and unique character of this collaboration reminds us that, even in an ever-changing world, certain traditions remain immutable, bringing every year joy and magic to those lucky enough to attend the event.
What is a musical fountain?
Also known as a dancing fountain, our musical fountain creates water shows to all types of music.
It was the first Musical Fountain to be presented in France during a tour with Cirque Bouglione, and for several years now it has been delighting audiences at the Grand Rex in Paris during the Christmas season.
The musical fountain is available for indoor or outdoor shows, even in small spaces. The modules of this musical fountain can be combined to form a water show ranging from 8 to 30 meters wide, with jets up to 12 meters high, adjustable to suit the conditions of the venue.
The Musical Fountains include 14 different effects, reproduced several times depending on the length chosen, offering an aquatic show rich in movement and form, immersing spectators in a magical aquatic universe. The variety of combinations makes it possible to synchronize choreography with classical music, while also being able to create dynamic rhythms to pop, rock, electro and much more.
The Musical Fountain is also ideal for integration into live events, such as concerts. It can be used to create a water show or a set integrated into the staging, adding an extra visual dimension to the event.
