Giant water shows for Volkswagen
Autostadt: the park dedicated to automobiles hosts the most extravagant shows and water effects
From 2008 to 2022, Aquatique Show designed the craziest multimedia water shows presented every summer for three months to park customers.
Over the years, Aquatique Show has also created numerous interactive and immersive water features throughout the park.
We quickly understood that Volkswagen management wanted to transform the entire park into a water world. For us, the park has become the laboratory for creating the craziest water effects.
The Autostadt park concept
Each customer who acquires a new vehicle is invited to the park to collect it and enjoy all the shows inside the park. A car course allows each motorist to test their new vehicle and the interior of the park is full of pavilions dedicated to the group's different car brands with indoor shows, each more surprising than the last.
The world's largest temporary water show
Breaking its own record each year, this show has been the largest temporary water show in the world each time and has also incorporated new effects to the delight of spectators.
Depending on the year, the facade of the show covered between 200 and 400 meters in length with more than 300 water effects, high-powered cannons and moving jets, water screens suspended from walkways, Aqua graphic water curtains at more than 30 meters high and jets starting from the roofs of the surrounding pavilions.

In 2012, the water show was positioned opposite the Volkswagen factory with a specific integration constraint; our teams and Volkswagen engineers designed a giant platform more than 200 meters long by 60 meters wide to accommodate all the show equipment: water show, flames, lasers, video projections, fireworks were on board this behemoth!

Interactive fountains that transform the park into a playground
Autostadt is definitely a playground for us too!
Every year, Volkswagen management gave us carte blanche to imagine, design and install connected fountains and water effects so that young and old can have fun controlling them.
Jets controlled by sensors, joysticks, turnstiles and hopscotches perfectly execute the movements that the public performs. On certain installations, everyone can become the director of a water show.
A world first for our water tunnel
It was also in Autostadt that we developed the first water tunnel. With a length of 21 meters and a height of approximately 3 meters, it is installed above the water, surrounding a footbridge that visitors can cross.
It is a real door and a passage into a kinetic world that disrupts geographical markers
Cool off in the water labyrinth
Sculptural day and night, the water labyrinth specially created for the park is a true work of art; an architectural gesture in a park full of them.
It is also a play area where everyone can enjoy getting wet and wet while passing the walls of water created by the jets which rise and fall randomly.
Projects with Autostadt are always real challenges that Aquatique Show loves to take on and achievements that make us proud: a simply magical collaboration!
