Aquatique Show has realized multiple water effects and custom made water shows in Yinzhou District of Ningbo.
The district of Yinzhou, located south of downtown Ningbo, has been the subject of several urban planning projects to sustain and develop the economic activity and cultural identity of the district.
Our action has focused on different remarkable sites in the district in order to underline each of their identities. The water element appeared as obvious since in Yinzhou and more widely in Ningbo located south of the Yangtsee River, water is a strong identity element of the city with the activity of the largest port in the East China Sea (and one of the largest in the world), the presence of the province's largest freshwater lake in Yinzhou, Dongqian Lake, and the canalization of waterways throughout Yinzhou District.
Custom made water shows around three main sites
The King Flower: a water effect with an emblematic vocation
Located in the lake of Yinzhou Park, the King Flower water effect appears majestically in front of the Skyline of South Business, a set of modern and recent skyscrapers that reflects the economic dynamism of the district. Seen from Yinzhou Square, and the local authority building, the King Flower, made up of high-powered canons with a height of jets up to 50 meters high, symbolizes the power and dynamism of the new district, and becomes its emblem, the front door. It is also the connecting point between the Phase 4 Custom made water shows on Cultural Square and Phase 3 on Water Street.
The lighthouse water show
With an opening of 120 meters, the water show implanted in an arc of a circle covers some 10,000 square meters around the Wetland Park lighthouse to the west of Yinzhou Park, like the amplified and choreographed echo of the light which guided the navigators. More than 50 water jets make up this show entirely installed on semi-submerged floating barges in order to avoid the installation of permanent infrastructures in the lake. The water show is embellished with lasers and presents rhythmic shows that recall the spirit of conquest and development linked to navigation.
The Water Street Multimedia Custom made water show
With a layout over more than 250 meters long, this multimedia water show proposes a variety of original effects to offer a unique show as well as an evolving promenade that offers different atmospheres. Projections on a water screen, giant water wings, moving jets, flower jets and a Columnar jet punctuate this promenade, which is also covered by a line of 50 straight jets and arches.
Architectural fountains
Aquatique Show had already been present in Ningbo since the early 2000s with an installation of musical fountains in Yinzhou Square in front of the government palace. The authorities wanted to decorate the existing fountains which were still functioning with new effects and modernize the lighting already in place.
On the square that saw the birth of the Ningbo Museum in 2008, designed by the architect Wang Shu (Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2012), our new installations have taken the show of musical fountains to a higher level with more architectural and imposing effects, as well as our exclusive lighting, the AQUAPRO led projectors that give Yinzhou Square a new profile.
