The Water
tunnel effect
A water effect creating a dreamlike and kinetic promenade
The water tunnel effect, a captivating water display, orchestrates a dreamlike and kinetic walk, immersing visitors in an enchanting water universe. This unique and innovative water effect was first developed in 2015 at Autostadt, the Volkswagen company park dedicated to celebrating the automobile.
Transforming the traditional notion of a promenade, the water tunnel effect presents a fascinating fusion of art and show, creating an unprecedented experience for visitors passing through this effect.
During the summer seasons from 2015 to 2018, the water tunnel effect became a central part of this park's attractions, with an impressive length of 21 meters. Nestled among other immersive and interactive water effects, the water tunnel effect brought a dynamic and surreal ambiance to the park.
Venturing into this water passage, visitors were invited for a sensory journey, surrounded by the soothing sound of cascading water, visually captivating movements and lighting that made one lose the notion of reality: a passage from reality to an imaginary world.
Specifications of the water tunnel effect
Aquatique Show has developed standard 1-meter-long water tunnel effect ramps which can be assembled to obtain the desired length for your project.
The water tunnel effect ramps are made up of equidistant arches, with a predefined height (+/- 3 meters) in order to maintain the most laminar possible jet so as not to disrupt the tunneling effect of the arches.
The water tunnel effect is enlightened by our Aquapro Led 2 underwater projectors which allow a complete and warm play of colors; they intensify the kinetic effect of the water tunnel effect.
